Technical Manager – Climate Change Programme

Ms. Pallavi Gedam is a seasoned climate change and sustainability expert with around 15 years of experience in GHG audits, environmental compliance, and sustainable development projects. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Mumbai. Her expertise in climate change mitigation spans global carbon credit programs such as CDM, VCS (Verra), Gold Standard (GS), SD Vista, and ISO 14064 certifications. Currently serving as Technical Manager at BMNS, she brings a wealth of experience from industry, laboratory settings, and her tenure in Designated Operational Entities (DOEs).

As a Technical Reviewer, Financial Expert, Team Leader, and Technical Expert for Technical Areas (TA) 1.2, 3.1, and 13, she has led numerous validation and verification projects across Asia, Turkey, and Africa. Previously, she worked as Senior Manager, Climate Change Division at Carbon Check India Pvt Ltd, and held in past key sustainability roles at TUV Rheinland and other consulting firms.

Her certifications include: Lead Auditor for ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System; ISO 14064-1, 14064-2, and 14064-3 certified auditor; GHG auditing and renewable energy specialist; Certified Technical Expert for Restricted Substances List (RSL) – Levi Strauss & Co.

In her early career, she was actively involved in environmental compliance, regulatory reporting for MOEFCC and MPCB, and conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). She also received hands-on training in air and water quality monitoring through ISO-certified labs under MoEFCC guidance.

As a regular participant in Gold Standard DOE webinars, including GS4GG, Ms. Gedam remains committed to continuous learning, environmental sustainability, and climate action.
