Jitendra Mohan Singh is a seasoned climate and sustainability professional with over 27 years of experience in greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation, carbon credit validation, and sustainable energy systems. He holds an advanced master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Systems & Management from the International Institute of Management, University of Flensburg, Germany, and a B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering from Allahabad University, India. His academic foundation and global exposure have shaped a career dedicated to advancing climate action through rigorous technical expertise and strategic project development.
Throughout his career, Mr. Singh has worked with leading institutions such as the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), IIT Delhi, ICAR, IRADe, and CAPART, contributing to research, policy, and implementation in agriculture, energy, and environment. From 2010 to 2013, he served as an RIT expert with the UNFCCC, supporting registration and issuance processes for carbon projects. His portfolio includes over 150 successful validations and verifications under major carbon standards including UNFCCC, Gold Standard (GS4GG), VERRA, and the Global Carbon Council (GCC), positioning him as one of the most accomplished auditors in the field.
Mr. Singh has led consulting engagements with firms such as SMEC India Pvt. Ltd., Perenia Carbon India Pvt. Ltd., M B Power (Madhya Pradesh) Ltd., GPS Renewables, and most recently, BURN Manufacturing USA LLC. His work spans project design, registration, issuance, and monitoring of GHG reduction initiatives across sectors like renewable energy, waste management, clean cooking, and sustainable fuels. As a Lead Auditor and Technical Expert, he has also contributed to the success of numerous GCC and GS projects across India, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
In addition to his project work, Mr. Singh is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14064-3:2019, 14064-2:2019, and 14064-1:2018, and holds technical qualifications across multiple sectoral scopes including TA 1.1, 1.2, 3.1, 13.1, and 13.2. His deep understanding of carbon methodologies, combined with hands-on experience in field validation and stakeholder engagement, makes him a valuable addition to any climate change portfolio. He brings deeply accomplished technical expert whose precision, integrity, and almost three decades of hands-on experience will significantly strengthen our climate mitigation efforts.
