H.B. Muralidhar has over 40 years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety. Muralidhar is an electrical engineer with diploma in industrial safety and PG diploma in ecology and environment. He is a licentiate in general insurance & risk management and also accredited energy auditor and manger from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of India. He has led the climate change team at Bureau Veritas Certification India Pvt. Ltd. as country manager. He has chaired various internal organizational team/committees that facilitated and developed EHS, Energy and Safety policies. He has also been involved in GHG audit at the capacity of team leader and technical reviewer at BVIPL and executed projects in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 13 sectors for all GHG programs like CDM, VERRA, Gold Standard, IFC Sustainability Standard, GCC and ISO14064 certification. He supported both Asian and European countries in GHG/JI related activities. He has also spent more than 1700 man-days of Safety, Environmental, Quality and energy for ISO18001, 14001, 9001 and 50001 in industries, Infra and IT establishments and conducted more than 100 training programs on CDM Validation/Verification, GHG and Climate Change, Lead Assessor, Internal Auditor, Hazard and Risk Assessments and Safety Management Systems in various locations across India, South East Asia and Europe. Other than climate change, his previous employment proves his rich working experience in EHS lab, Pharma, Iron & steel and Tool design industries with renowned organizations like Jubilant, Praxair, MICO-BOSCH, Widia, SAIL and Mecon.
Currently, Muralidhar is working as MD & Director – Climate Change Program at BMNS and responsible for GHG validation and Verification services along with managing the accreditation to ISO14065 and maintaining approvals with various GHG programs.
Muralidhar is a member of National Safety Council and office Bearer and also lifetime member of council of Safety Professional (Karnataka) and Indian Society of Heating and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. He is also a member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Environment and Safety subcommittee.
